Why Swaziland?
Swaziland is a nation of warm, beautiful people with a devastating problem.  Swaziland has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the world.  Hope Rises was birthed out of a short-term mission trip to Swaziland in April of 2006.  We fell in love with the people and left half of our hearts behind.  We could not come back to our cushy lives and forget our Swazi friends, so we have stayed connected and have committed

ourselves to do all we can to help the Swazi people.  We will keep going back to Swaziland to work on projects to help widows, orphans, the poor, and the sick.  Check out our website, meet the people of Swaziland through photos, stories, and read about their grim situation.  Please join with us or find another way to help Swaziland.

Where is Swaziland?:

Swaziland is in the southern part of Africa, surrounded by the country of South Africa on the North, West and South. Mozambique is to the East of Swaziland. 

The children of Swaziland manage to smile and play in spite of their circumstances.
